My Renaissance Man

Smiling, contented just to watch
Beaming, happy just to resist to touch
Positive, desperate for the little things
Appreciative, loving just to savour the small things

My Renaissance thinker, you battle the rest
No sword held high just your beauty and wit
That Machaivellian villian dont hold a torch to you
He may charge but you will never lose

Articulate, may stumble but always stands back up
Proud, unafraid to be wrong or look bad
Brave, survived all those who put you down
Saved, not only me but also yourself

I am your hero, a night in gleaming armour
Ready to stand tall and kill the enemy
No Machaivellian man will pass these walls
Of love and admiration I've built unknowingly around you

Outlook

Ever changing perspectives is all I've ever known
Nothing stays the same for ever too long
Ghosts of my past finally swept away
Hopes and dreams of a more amazing day

Harsh light rains down as poisonous air swirls around
Dark clouds and closed doors are all to be found
Wishing thinking, none of my questions answered
Faint understanding and reasoning barely heard

While children run, scream and shout
Oblivious to the pain, hurt, suffering to come
Their outlook on life millions of bright rainbows
Of playtime, innocence no consequence or lows

To step back just 8 years and remember the outlook on life
Compare to now and how much you can grow
Sweetness, bitterness, unpleasantness and joy
Final realisation of more seeds waiting to be sown

For this is life, is not as easy and simple as you thought when you were ten
For this is yours, for you to decide what choices you will make
Be influenced well, step back and see the bigger picture
Takes risks but dont fall into nets of barbed wire

Some people will fall, those people who ten years back were oh so sweet
Now thugs and bullies who terrorise you on the street
Others will fly high like how you could never imagine
Those people are the ones to influence the new youth

Outlooks will change, you are what you are
Not as innocent as that dazzling star
Makes those mistakes and take note
Becomes better than they all could have hoped

Grow up

Forget the bad
Forget the naivity
Forget the sadness
Forget the tragedy

People come and go
Grab on too tight and they'll let go
Be yourself and be proud
Don't let what anyone else says go

Be proud stand tall
Laugh at the good and the bad
Face up to things head on not down
Take notice, learn and move along

Teens into adults is a time to enjoy
Laugh through the sadness
Cry sweet tears through the joy

Take nothing too seriously
You only live once
Enjoy your youth
Don't be scared to be wrong

Take a deep breath
Join your hand with mine
Take these leaps of faith and discovery
With no fear of looking behind or down

Rememberance

Tricklings of memories run through my dreams
Swirling spirals if pure hope and happiness
Tears runs down my hot cheeks in streams
At the thought of rememberance being the only thing

Remembering how I felt
Remembering being happy and not wanting any more
Remembering you loved me
Remembering I wanted to spend my life with you

Crashings of emotions attacking and bombarding
Colliding of feelings and dedications cause doubt
Hormones and fears constantly rushing
Young bright flame doesn't want to be snuffed out

Wanting something
Wanting to remember feelings of excitement
Wanting to be naughty and daring
Wanting to be with others beofore you

Dribblings of regrets torment my dreams
Patterings of guilt and badness fall on my conscience
Raining of curiosity course thorugh my veins
Glidings of security swerve through each dare I accept

Needing to feel completed
Needing to feel young and alive at taking some risks
Needing to put one foot out into the new world
Needing to move on and leave you behind
